Description and details

MemberPress Beaver Builder Content Protection is a WordPress plugin that connects the MemberPress membership system to the Beaver Builder page builder. It adds a restriction panel directly inside the Beaver Builder editor, so you can take any row, column, or module you have placed on a page and apply membership rules to it. Pages built with Beaver Builder can be protected entirely, or you can protect only specific sections inside a page. The plugin uses the exact same access rules as MemberPress, including membership levels, subscriptions, and user roles. If a visitor does not have the right access, you decide what they see: a login prompt, a custom message, or completely hidden content. This works without touching a single line of PHP or CSS, making it approachable for site owners who prefer visual editing. Because it builds on MemberPress, you do not need to create a separate rule set for your Beaver Builder pages.

The main strength is the granular level of control. You can restrict a complete page, but you can also restrict a single button, an image, a text block, a call-to-action section, or any other Beaver Builder module. That means you can create teaser content that everyone sees, while the full version is gated behind a membership. Rows and columns work the same way, so a landing page can have a public header and a members-only footer. You can show different content to different membership levels. A free user might see a brief excerpt, a premium subscriber sees the entire module. All of this is configured inside the editor, with a clear visual marker showing which elements are protected. There is no need to switch between screens or remember where each restriction lives. The protection options follow the same structure MemberPress users already know, so the learning curve is minimal. This includes custom messages or redirects to a login page.

This is an add-on, not a standalone membership plugin. You need MemberPress Core and Beaver Builder installed and active before you can use it. It also works with Beaver Themer, so you can place restrictions inside your theme templates and layouts. The plugin has been tested with WordPress 6.4 and requires PHP 7.4 or higher. It is released under the GPL v2 license, which means the source code is fully available and you are free to modify it. The current version, 1.2.5, includes compatibility fixes for recent MemberPress releases and support for custom Beaver Builder modules. Since this add-on relies on the MemberPress API, keeping both base plugins updated is the main thing you need to do for smooth operation. No additional server configuration is required beyond what the two base plugins already need. You can use it with third-party modules as long as those modules follow standard Beaver Builder behavior. There are no built-in payment or subscription features; those come from MemberPress.

The plugin is useful in any situation where you already build with Beaver Builder and want to sell access to part of that content. Online course creators can lock video modules, lesson text, or downloadable resources. Bloggers can gate entire articles or just the printable version. Digital product sellers can hide download links behind a membership tier. Community sites can restrict specific widgets or sections that support member discussion. More importantly, the plugin lets you combine free and paid content on the same page. A tutorial can stay public while the supplementary files are protected. This means you do not have to duplicate pages or create separate layouts for members and non-members. You work with the same design and simply switch on protection for the parts that matter. It is not a full page builder replacement; it fills a specific gap for people who already use these two tools together. That makes it a focused addition to an existing workflow.
