OceanWP Sticky Footer Addon 2.1.2
Wordpress Plugins OceanWP 4.8 (609 reviews)
OceanWP Sticky Footer Addon is a WordPress plugin built for the OceanWP theme. It attaches the footer to the bottom of the screen, keeping it visible as visitors scroll. Instead of sitting only at the end of a long page, the footer becomes a fixed bar that stays in reach. The bar stays put while the rest of the page moves normally underneath. Everything else works entirely within OceanWP's existing settings, so there is no code to edit. Once activated, a new set of options controls how the sticky footer behaves. This is a lightweight way to keep important links or messages in constant view, without redesigning the site. For content-heavy pages, it makes the footer genuinely useful during a long scroll.
The addon gives you three specific controls that appear in the WordPress customizer. A menu can be added to the footer bar, which works well for quick navigation links. Custom text is also supported, useful for a phone number, an address, or a short welcome message. You can also choose your own colors for the bar and its contents, so the sticky footer matches your existing design. These options are straightforward and don't require any styling knowledge. The plugin was created by the same team behind OceanWP, so it follows the theme's design language and settings structure. That means the addon feels like a natural part of the theme rather than a separate plugin bolted on from somewhere else. Because these options live in the customizer, you can see each change immediately in the preview before you publish. It makes it easy to experiment with different menus, text, and colors until the bar feels right.

The sticky footer works as a separate bar from your regular footer, so you are not forced to move any existing content. Your normal footer remains in its normal place at the bottom of the page, and the sticky version appears on top of the viewport while reading. This is useful for sites with long articles, product pages, or documentation, where scrolling back to the top just to find a link is tedious. With the addon, you can keep a few key items within thumb's reach. The bar does not cover your content permanently either; it sits at the bottom of the screen in a thin strip, so it does not interfere with the main reading area. Changes you make in the customizer apply to the sticky bar only, leaving the rest of your theme untouched. For people who run a blog, an online store, or a business site, this provides a convenient spot for persistent information without demanding any layout changes.
Installing the addon is no different from installing any other WordPress plugin. You upload the zip file, activate it, and then head to the customizer to configure the sticky footer. Because it is built specifically for OceanWP, it relies on the theme's own settings for placement and styling, so you do not have to write code yourself. The addon is maintained by the same developers who build the theme, so it stays in step with OceanWP's updates. For anyone who wants a persistent footer without switching to a block editor or rebuilding their site structure, this is a direct solution. It gives you a functional sticky footer with just a few clicks, and it leaves the rest of your website exactly as it was. Everything works through the standard customizer, so there is no separate settings page to learn. If you have been looking for a lightweight way to keep a menu or contact details always visible, this addon covers that need without extra clutter.
